The Kirkland community and surrounding neighborhoods came through once again this year in its support of the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland’s Christmas Tree Lot. The lot opened the day after Thanksgiving and officially sold its last tree on December 13, raising approximately $30,000. The holiday season is in full swing in Kirkland with decorations and lights to be seen everywhere. To add to the holiday spirit, come have some fun when local Girl Scouts join in to the festivities at the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland Tree Lot on Saturday, December 3. They will decorate a Christmas tree with ornaments they have made at 4:30p and begin caroling at 5p. The girls have been a big hit for the last two years and this year’s group will be bigger and better than ever, with several troops participating Once the girls have charmed everyone with their caroling, they will pass out cookies for everyone to enjoy…
With Christmas approaching quickly, the Kiwanis Club of Kirkland is gearing up for their biggest fundraiser of the year. Since 1971, the club has sold Christmas trees, Wreaths, Gourmet Nuts, Delicious Delights and See’s Candy with all funds going to support the children of the Kirkland community.
The tree lot is located in the parking lot of Juanita Beach Park. It opens Friday, November 25 (the day after Thanksgiving) and will stay open until December 23 or until the trees are gone. Last year things sold out early, so be sure not to wait too long!
Tree Lot hours will be 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday…
