KIRKLAND, Wash. – Road closures and detours will be in place throughout the weekend as Summerfest happens in downtown Kirkland, August 10-12. The City’s boat launch will remain open, however, boaters should expect delays. Event goers are encouraged to walk, bike, or carpool, and plan for their parking in advance. For public parking, including the Kirkland Municipal Garage, go to www.kirklandwa.gov/parking. For bus transportation, go to http://tripplanner.kingcounty.gov. The following roads will be closed on Friday, August 10 at 4 a.m. through Sunday, August 12 at 8 p.m.:
- Lakeshore Plaza Lot
- Lakeshore Plaza
- Kirkland Avenue from the City Dock to Lake Street
- Park Lane from Lake Street to 3rd Street
In addition, the eastbound lane of Waverly Way will be closed on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
Heritage Park boat trailer parking will be temporarily relocated to Market Street between Central Way and Waverly Way on Saturday and Sunday.
