Public Hearing Monday, January 30: Seaplanes at Carillon Point

A seaplane in Fiji. Similar to those planned for Kirkland minus the tropical climate, palm trees, sandy beaches, coconuts, scuba diving, azure waters, lack of roads, and history of cannibalism.

A commercial seaplane operation is being proposed at Carillon Point. They are asking to be allowed up to 12 flights per day year-round. There is a hearing at City Hall on Monday, January 30. The environmental appeal starts at 6pm, and the permit hearing will probably start about 7pm.

It’s not too late to send comments to Christian Geitz <CGeitz@kirklandwa.gov>, and you can also submit written comments at the hearing itself.
