Kirkland Police Investigate Possible Murder-Suicide

Husband and Wife located Inside Residence in Highlands Neighborhood
On April 16th at approximately 11:00am, Kirkland Police responded to a private residence in the 10300 block of 113th Ct. NE. on a report of a deceased male. The male was discovered by a family member who had not heard from the man and had come by to check on him.
Kirkland Police arrived at the residence and located a male in his sixties inside the garage deceased from apparent self-inflicted injuries. Police then checked the residence and located a female in her sixties, believed to be the male’s wife, deceased in the kitchen. At this time, the deaths appear to possibly be a result of a murder-suicide. The incident is believed to have happened sometime within the past couple days.
Kirkland Police Detectives responded to the scene and are conducting an investigation into the deaths. The two deceased individuals were married and both resided at the house. At this time, the Kirkland Police do not believe there are any other subjects involved. The circumstances that led up to the incident remain unknown and are still being investigated by Kirkland Police Detectives.
