Take a Minute to Help Hungry Kirkland Kids

A hearty meal for Thanksgiving is just what Kirkland school children need.  Yet there are an alarming number that will have next to nothing and don’t know what Thanksgiving means.  You can provide that support for these kids during the upcoming school break.  When school is open there are free & reduced meals and Pantry Packs for weekends.  During the holiday breaks, YOU are the help they need as part of Kirkland Nourishing Network.

We already know that the number of those in need is growing, this year.  In just under three weeks we will be having our Thanksgiving Food box Drop-off Day that will be helping kids in elementary schools in all Kirkland neighborhoods.
IT’S EASY, JUST SIGN UP TO DONATE A BOX OF FOOD:

Thanksgiving break drop-off:  Tuesday, November 21,  8:30am-12:30pm

Locations for Food Box Donations:

SOUTH Kirkland: LDS Church – 7720 126th Ave NE, Kirkland
NORTH Kirkland: LDS Church – 13220 NE 132nd St, Kirkland

We aren’t set up to take cash, but we might be able to make connections with members of the Eastside Timebank or a youth group to shop for a limited number of those that would not otherwise be able to donate.  Send any requests for this assistance to daveasher@comcast.net
