Letter to the Editor | Parking at Evergreen Hospital

Letter to the editor

I recently read on the Village at Totem Lake Parking Web site that the 3 major Parking Lots at Evergreen Hospital (Blue, Silver, and DeYoung) are being advertised as Free Parking for

Shoppers at The Village at Totem Lake. I called Evergreen Hospital and they confirmed this information.

Residents of the area know how busy and crowded Evergreen Hospital lots can get. Currently about 14.4 million of Evergreen Health’s annual operating budget comes from Levy

monies paid to King Co. Public Hospital District No. 2.  The taxation rate for 2018 is about $.22 per thousand or $237 for a home valued at $727,500.

Evidently those of us who are paying these taxes had no say in their giving free usage of the 3 hospital parking lots to Village at Totem Lake Shoppers.

WE NEED TO LET EVERGREEN HOSPITAL KNOW HOW WE FEEL ABOUT THIS DECISION!  Here is how to contact Evergreen Hospital.
