Historical Tour of Kirkland Cemetery

On Saturday, May 19 from 10:00-2:00, Matt McCauley, Kirkland historian, will give an historical tour of the Kirkland Cemetery. He will share his colorful stories of Kirkland’s forefathers.   Meet at the fountain.  Free but donations are accepted and will be used to purchase markers for unmarked historic Kirklanders’ graves.

This year scouts, Kirkland Rotary and several citizens have undertaken the task of renewing and painting the white crosses used to decorate the graves of veterans at our cemetery.  Rotary has provided the funds needed to purchase all the brand new flags.  There are some work parties involved and it is hoped you can volunteer to help get the job done.
