The Greater Kirkland Citizen Corps Council is sponsoring a grant program in our community. Projects to be funded by the grant must support the Mission of the Greater Kirkland Citizen Corps Council which is to build a safer, more resilient community by helping to coordinate the preparedness efforts of local leaders, community groups, citizen volunteers, and the Kirkland Office of Emergency Management in responding to disasters of all kinds by harnessing the power of involved citizens.
The GKCCC will award grants large and small up to $1,500.00 to fund projects and other worthy causes, including training opportunities, for adults and high school students. Applications are being accepted now through May 5, 2017. Apply online at www.KirklandCERT.com/GKCCC_Brugman_Grant. Applicants can also download the application and mail completed forms to Karen Lightfeldt, GKCCC Treasurer (mailing instructions and address are on the forms).
