Kirkland Downtown Association Rolls out Community Membership Program

The Kirkland Downtown Association (KDA) is pleased to announce a membership program that will connect the community of Kirkland, Businesses and Organizations. This program will help fund the initiatives that bring vibrancy and economic development into Kirkland.   The KDA hosts the Wednesday Farmer’s Market, Summer Concert series, 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks, Classic Car Show, Summerfest, and Winterfest. In addition, the KDA assists in helping local merchants reach the community with special events and offers from restaurants and businesses.

Glenn Peterson, from the Executive KDA Board says… “This brings sustainability to an organization that does so much for the community by providing activities, excitement, and events. It’s a great feeling for a person to know they have ‘skin in the game.”

The membership levels start at $49 for individual memberships up to $249 for Platinum business memberships. These levels offer distinctive business and marketing support and outreach. These members have the opportunity to do specific outreach to members to assist with their promotions and offer specials to bring people through their doors, while offering benefits to each other.   One Platinum member, Julie Metteer from Real Living NW Realtors, is offering a 10% contribution back to the events in the community from any sales coming from member referral. “I have been dedicated to my community for years, but this is a valuable way I can support the KDA, while growing my business at the same time.” Julie adds.

The collaboration between community and business will become stronger and more vibrant, as the love for Kirkland grows, and the membership base increases.

The KDA is a non-profit that adds incredible value to the community of Kirkland by ensuring Kirkland’s unique downtown community is vibrant, connected and flourishing.  Membership details and sign up information can be found at
